Can't get Spotify Premium Duo working right with 2 people streaming to Sonos

Can't get Spotify Premium Duo working right with 2 people streaming to Sonos

Need help setting up 2 people on a Spotify Premium Duo account and Sonos. With 2 accounts (the Premium with a 2nd person as a guest on the Duo plan).

 

The problem is we can't separately stream from our phones using our individual Spotify accounts to completely different Sonos amps/rooms without it stopping the other persons stream in another part of the house.

 

The Sonos community instructions were to each of us add our Spotify account to our Sonos apps but it gives errors that the Spotify account is already on the Sonos system.

 

Is there a problem with the Spotify Premium Duo setup where it isn't being treated as 2 separate accounts for this? That was the whole point of us upgrading to the Premium Duo account. Or am I missing something?

No current issue is accruing with the Spotify Duo subscription.

 

In order to fix this issue, i'd recommend you disconnect and delete the accounts from your Sonos app and follow the instructions given here to reconnect.
