Can't listen on two devices at the same time on Premium Family

Hi,

I have a Spotify Family Premium subscription which has 5 accounts attached to it.  We are UK based and have android phone devices largely to play music although I use my desktop too.  My son has one of these accounts and uses a Google Nest in his bedroom to play music.

Any time he plays music on his Nest, my listening is interupted and I have to listen to what he is listening to and vice versa.  We don't have the same issue on any of the other accounts in the household.  I have my own account and login and so does he, we are not sharing accounts. We have logged out and back in multiple times, I have even deleted his account completely and gave him a new one.  I have deleted the Google Home application altogether to try and rid myself of the connection to the Google Nest and have event deleted the link to the Google Home app - we still have the same issue.

Can someone please help?  I have read similar issues on community but none of the responses fit my issue.

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community!

 

You'd need to make sure that your son is logged in with his own Google account on the Google Nest speaker, and that his own google account is linked to his Spotify account.

 

You can follow the instructions in this Support Article. There you can find how to unlink and link Google and Spotify accounts.
