Can't upgrade from premium to family plan

Can't upgrade from premium to family plan

Have had a regular premium account for years.  Want to upgrade to a family plan.  When I go to plans and try to select Family Plan I get an error message that says I'm not eligible for a Family plan.  A banner message comes up that says "Sorry, you are not eligible for that plan, here are some other ways to get premium" but I'm not taken to any other page.  It's a frustrating loop.  I pay for Premium via iTunes but can't make any changes on that subscription page either.

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community!


Since you're paying for your Premium Individual through iTunes, you won't be able to switch plans directly.


First of all, you'd need to cancel your Premium Individual subscription following the steps for Apple here.

After your account reverts to the free service, you can take out a Family Premium sub from here. Note that you won't be able to pay for this subscription via iTunes.
