Can't upgrade to premium on family subscription

One of the subscriptions on my family premium account is not upgrading. I know you should upgrade via the internet explorer and then the app should turn to premium, but it prompts me for card details. Am I  fine to enter my card details and not get charged twice ?

To confirm, are you the one that's trying to upgrade to Premium for Family, or is it a member that wants to join your plan?

thanks for hitting me back. No I'm not the one trying to upgrade to premium. 

 

Basically I added my girlfriend to the family subscription as it was a better deal. and it worked fine. But since she has got a new phone, it won't let her upgrade to premium from free. She still has the same Spotify account etc

Thanks for the confirmation! 

Could you try sending your girlfriend another invite using a different browser or incognito mode? If that doesn't help, please send me a screenshot of the error message being shown (make sure that you're hiding sensitive info before posting to the community).
