My Question or Issue

My 2 daughters, husband, and I have all individual premium accounts already setup. Is there a way we can combine under one family account and retain all of our playlists? Does everyone have to live under the same roof in the family plan?

Hi @Joycek1,

Thanks for posting in the Spotify Community, and welcome!

Yes, even if everyone in your residence is already subscribed to Premium Individual plans, one person can still sign up for Premium Family as the plan manager here and then invite everyone else to the plan by following these steps. Premium Family plan members must live at the same address as the plan manager to be able to accept invites to the plan, though.

You keep all your playlists, saved music, and settings no matter which plan you switch to or from, so everyone would keep their playlists in the new Premium Family plan if you do decide to switch subscription plans

Note that if you already have Premium with a partner company (for example, your phone or internet provider), you’ll first need to cancel with them and wait for your current Premium to end before you can switch to Premium Family.

Also bear in mind that members can only switch between different Premium Family or Premium Duo plans once a year.

Feel free to read more about how Premium Family works in this support article as well as in this FAQ article, and let me know if you have any other questions.

Have a good day!
