Hi everyone,
I had the same issue.
Seems like I was logged to a VPN when I created my account and my region was set to a different country.
To solve this error, go to your settings and change your region.
Hope this helps.
Cheers!

FOR ME it was that in YOUR ACCOUNT had to match the country of the registered address. Say you signed up in Indonesia so you used an Indonesian address but your account was made in the states so you registered your account for the usa, if you change that to Indonesia (you may have to be in the country or use a vpn for this to work) then retry it should work. at least it worked for me :))
Ok so you need to go into the new account before accepting the invite and set up the profile and address there. For example the address is blank and my region was set to Australia by default though I live in Canada. Once I did that I could accept the inovte by typing in our address.
I have the same issue. I have Premium Family and invited my adult son to join. He lives in the same house as me. But he got the message ‘It looks like you’re trying to join a family plan from a different country’. I checked the account. It lists our address correctly as in Australia. His location in his phone is Australia. We live in the same house. Something badly wrong here, Spotify. My instinct is to cancel Family Premium, given people have been complaining about this for at least two years and you haven’t come up with a solution. Looks like a bug to me.
same issue here also, i even created a new account and still cant join. It appears there must be an issue with spotify? Can you confirm this spotify?
I am having the same issue, I cannot join my dad's family plan. We literally live in the same house??
I am having the same issue despite living in the same house, using the same address, setting the same region in our accounts. I cannot join my dad's family plan as it says I'm not in the same household. I have tried an incognito window, I have tried everything. Please advise!!
I have a similar issue, I used to live in a different country previously but have since moved back with my family and I am unable to join their family plan despite living at the same address
