Family Plan in different countries

Family Plan in different countries

Hello,

My brother have currently moved to Poland for my studies, and would like to join a Family Plan but I live in Ukraine. When he enter the invite code, he get this message: "We couldn't add you to the Family plan as your account needs to be based in the same country as the Family plan owner."

Does Spotify not account for family members living in different countries?

Thank you very much.

Hi @antonkononov,

Thanks for posting in the Spotify Community!

Unfortunately, for the Premium Family plan it is necessary for members of the plan to reside at the same address as the plan manager (the person who signed up).

Let us know if you have any other questions, and have a good day!

I reside at the exact same address as my son. We simply moved from France to the US together. It is a bit insane.

I also have this problem. What is wrong with Spotify? All the other music services do not have this strange rule. I guess Spotify has decided they have too many customers and want to get rid of a few.
