Family plan link will not change family to Premium

Family plan link will not change family to Premium

My Question or Issue

I have had a family plan for several months. My family receives the link, but when they open the plan, it does not change them to premium, it remains the free version. I have been trying for months (all while paying for the family). It worked for a few days on one of the phones. I have logged the family in and out numerous times, resent the link, etc. If I log into their phone with my username / password, it works under my account. Any ideas? I am going to cancel my entire subscription,  as I cannot get any kind of response from Spotify. 

I have also had several friends who have Spotify family try the setup also, just to make sure I am not making mistakes. Same results.

Did you try to contact spotify:

I would contact them for the account which is invited for family and did activate the link and still has spotify free.
