hey, I have a question.

 

I purchased a spotify Family premium when I was in the Philippines. And when I got back to the US, I wanna include my brother in the subscription but when I sent him the invite and enter the address it doesnt work. Is there a difference in having someone to join my family sub in US when I bought the subscription in the philippines?

Yes, Spotify Premium Family requires that all members live at the same physical address — and the system verifies this based on the country and address registered to your account. 

 

So, since you purchased the Family plan in the Philippines, your account and payment info are tied to that country.

 

Your brother is in the US, and when he enters his address (even if it’s the same as yours now), Spotify detects it as a different country, triggering a mismatch. 

 

If you now live in the US and want to add US-based family members, I suggest that you cancel your current Family plan and wait until your billing cycle ends. Then update your account's country to the United States:


Go to https://www.spotify.com/account → Account → Edit Profile.

  1. Then resubscribe to Family Premium using a US-based payment method.

  2. Now, when you invite your brother, Spotify will accept the address if you’re both in the US.
