Family subscription, users in the same family can intervene

Family subscription, users in the same family can intervene

Family subscription, users in the same family can intervene with one another eventhough they are logged in with their own seperate account and both if they are on the same wifi or just on the cell network.

For instance, I am on my phone listening on Spotify and all of a sudden another user in my family, once again not with the same logg in name, changes the song. Then I change it back and the other user is now listening to my music and so it goes back and forth.

HOW is this even possible? Where using Google Home here to, could that be the issue that Google Home passes out devices here and there? have Spotify not secured this in their software?

Hey @ozborne!

Thanks for reaching out to us.

Right now, if you're linking a specific Spotify account to your Google Home through the Home app, any user that plays music using this device will use that account, since it's set as default.

In this case, we suggest removing your Spotify account from the Google Home, and use the speaker via Bluetooth instead. This should allow any user to pair to the speaker and play their music without interfering with your playback.

Let us know how it goes.
