My Question or Issue

 Hello:

Yesterday I recieved my email saying that my Google Home Mini was now available. When I follow the link, it brings me to the Google Store. Once I've selected the mini, and go into the checkout, it's still saying that I have to pay full price for the mini, with no apparent signs that the promo code has been applied.

I've looked up some of the other solutions on this website, but following the links provided, and trying to use incognito mode, both didn't work.

Thank you for your time.

Well, that sucks. I'm losing hope here. I'll probably just have to buy one myself at some point.

I also tried and was charged full price.

I did it, and it works fine.

I also just tried it & was still charged full price.  I have been a premium family member for well over a year (maybe 2 years).  I understand things happen but this is ridiculous.

I'd like to add (even if only for visibility) that I'm also experiencing this problem and have been for the past three weeks. Chatting with support only led me to learn that the promo code had an "attempted redemption" and that they can't issue a new code, even though no mini was ordered. Like others, manually adding the promo code as noted in the URL in the checkout also raises an "already attempted" error.

Google was way more helpful than Spotify. They are fulfilling the promo for
me! Love Google!

Seriously? How?

My issue was that I accidentally entered my address incorrectly. Instead of
dealing with Spotify (which has terrible customer service) I asked Google
if they could help me since they new the original device never made it to
me. They offered to send me another.

I followed those steps and am still being charged the full price.

I did and it really charges you. I had to gwt on the phone with google to figure out that it was an issue.

Really though can we have this be un-marked as solved until a real solution is given?

Those that went through Google to resolve...what method did you use to contact them?

Contacted the Google Store by phone.

I called the google help number to cancel my order but I didnt get a
solution yet to recieve a free device.

Was google abl to reverse the charges?  or are we supposed to wait for Spotify to sort this out?

I canceled mine within the first hour so I only got a pending charge and no
real charge. Im not sure what you would do if you had gotten a real charge

If you were actually charged for the mini and contacted Google support they will ask what the promotion code was. For myself and many others there was no code, only a link to follow and a pop-up saying the discount would be added during checkout. Google has offered to help return the device but will not reimburse you for the promotional discount.

I have sent many emails to spotify and to Google I was charged on my bank
of america credit card 52.43$ Google is not answering and spotify doesn't
even have contact number.

I feel really mad about all this situation, for the price Google charged
me I could have bought not one but two minis from ebay!

This is starting to feel like a scam promotion in order to get new
suscribers. And 0.99$ from each one... multiplied by 100 thousand do the
math. ...

Hello.

Even though the code is applied to the item, Google Store is asking for my credit card info to continue. Am I suppose to put my credit card info in?

Thank you.

I did it... And hours later Google cancelled the order, later by phone they
ask me to place a new order and I did...oh surprise 52.43$ were charged to
my credit card... I call and ask for the refund and wrote about 8 different
email both Google and Spotify support stating my case... 48hrs later I
haven't received any solution... I wonder if I call Apple store and tell
them I would like to change to iPhone and all the other services associated
with them... They may even use my case to advertise how to do something
wrong! And how to get a customer well treated.
