Help. Want to upgrade but can't

Help. Want to upgrade but can't

Spotify is saying I have premium individual due to Vodafone. I cancelled that contract and I shouldn't have Spotify premium, Vodafone says they have cancelled, Spotify is showing its not cancelled. I want to upgrade to a family plan but I can't due to it saying I need to contact my provider. Been going around in circles with Vodafone all morning.

Hey @Dalennax3 ,

Thanks for coming to the Community.

Since your subscription is through a partner (Vodafone), you'll need to reach out to them if you'd like to cancel it. There's, unfortunately, nothing that can be done from Spotify's end.

Hope this clears things up 🙂

Hi @Dalennax3,

Welcome to the Community and thanks for reaching out!

If you've already cancelled your subscription with Vodafone, like @Maxim suggested, then all you need to do is wait until the Premium time you've paid for expires and your account reverts to Free (Vodafone should be able to provide the exact date). You get to keep your whole library of music and podcasts when your account switches to Free, so no worries there - you may only lose your downloads, but you can always redownload them when you get Premium.

After reverting to Spotify Free, you'll be able to subscribe to Premium Family here. For more info on the plan check out the articles below:

The Community is always here if there's anything else you need assistance with.

Cheers!
