My Question or Issue

Looking to upgrade to a family plan. I've read about logging out of the various devices so that a user can login again using the family plan (as I understand it). But my question is, we have a Google home speaker in our bathroom, for example. If I'm showering I'd like to listen to my list. If my fiance is showering, she'd listen to her lists. How do I do that with the one speaker? I'd do that with other speakers we have throughout the house as well.

Hi there @iam-thaking,

Thanks for reaching out. When using smart speakers such as Google Home, one Spotify account is linked to the Google account and it is used for playback. If you want to use a different Spotify account, you must disconnect the current one and link the new one, see here and here.

As a workaround, you can share all of your playlists with the account that you plan on linking with your speaker so that you don't have to manually disconnect and reconnect a new one each time.

Hope this clears things up.
