So basically this is a throwaway as I'm moving away from Spotify but I was the admin of my Family subscription and I'm still being displayed as such even though I deleted my account more than a month ago. 3 members of my family are still in the subscription but we want to cancel it altogether now. Now we're wondering how to cancel the subscription without the admin's control over it. Will everyone reverting to free / leaving the subscription result in automatic deletion of it? Or can I maybe cancel the payment on the side of PayPal? Any help is appreciated here.

Hey there @user-removed,

 

Thank you for your post here in the Community.

 

When you delete your account the family member's shouldn't be able to continue being a part of the Premium Family subscription and you shouldn't be charged as well.

 

Can you let us know if you had your subscription directly through us or through a partner?

Well they were still able to use the family plan and I was still showing up as admin is that normal? I had a normal subscription through Spotify. All of my family left the plan now as well so we hope we won't get billed again.

It's necessary for an account to be on free service in order to be deleted. You can give these steps a go in order to cancel the subscription.

 

It's also good idea to check these steps so you can make sure that you don't have another account.
