I am member of a family Account. I moved and want to leave the account without ending it for the others and without asking anyone to kick me out. How can I do that?
Thanks for your help!

Hey @Mi_mau,
Thanks for coming to the Community.
You can "cancel" your membership via the cancellation process for a paid subscription with the difference, that the cancellation of your membership in a Premium Family plan has an instantaneous effect. More info on how to do that can be found here.
This, of course, does not affect the Premium Family plan itself, but only your membership in it.
Hope this helps 🙂
Hey @Mi_mau ,
Thanks for getting back.
If you're a member of the plan and not the owner, everything in my previous post applies here. 🙂

Hi @Maxim, thanks for the answer. I found this option before but for me it looks like that doesn't only affect my membership but does cancel the abo for the whole Group. Therefore I am very reluctant on doing so, are you 100% sure that cancelling only takes myself out without touching the abo itself?
If so, I think this should be better explained (by adding a footnote to the Button or so) or at least mentioned in a guide somewhere.

Hi there, thanks a lot for the confirmation. I tried it that way and since no one from my previous group reached out yet I assume it worked without having any impact on the abo.
But even more I think Spotify should do something to clarify that, the whole wording suggests otherwise. Even the confirmation email I received sounds like I ended the whole abo and not just my participation. Maybe there's a possibility to forward that feedback, I think it would be of help to have that changed.
Thank you!
Hey @Mi_mau,
I totally agree, it should be more clear 🙂 I've just made sure your feedback gets passed onto the right team at Spotify.
Have a great day!
