I can't add member on Family Plan - Address doesn't match

I can't add member on Family Plan - Address doesn't match

Even though I enter the same manager address for the invited members, this message appears and I cannot add members.spot.jpg

Thanks for reaching out.

 

In this case, it doesn't matter which address you enter (as it would always fail), since it's actually about the account's country setting that doesn't seem to match. 🙂

 

Please ask the family member to check their account's country setting, this can be done at https://www.spotify.com/account/profile/. It must match with the one on your account.

Hello! I had this problem a year ago trying to set up my mom on Duo.  We share the same address and are in the same house in the same country, although I do travel a lot and use a VPN for software programs on occasion.

Now I'm trying again and having the same problem this Christmas. I want to add my daughter too, so I upgraded to Family plan thinking maybe it will resolve the problem to start over, but alas.

I've tried both on mobile and desktop, I've gone in via mobile on my device and her device and allowed Google to find the address on both devices, and I STILL get this error message that they don't match.

Now I've paid for Duo for a year for naught and while I have a ton of patience, I'm feeling peevish. Hoping it can turn to sheepish when you tell me something simple I missed that will fix it!

Pleeeaase...  I can't stand commercials and mom wants her playlists!! :laugh

I'm unable to create a new topic, there is some kind of looping error between Google analytics and pixel.spotify that keeps refreshing to a blank page then starting over.

 

I see 32 issues reported about Address Not Matching for Duo or Family plans, none of which really provide helpful information at this point and most posts do not reflect a satisfactory outcome I can see.

. Now I know why I gave up trying a year ago!
