I can't connect a family member to premium family plan

I can't connect a family member to premium family plan

even though my daughter is standing right next to me, when she tries to connect to the family plan and gives the exact same address, it says she doesn't live in the same country

Unfortunately I can't help, but I have the same problem. I have created an extra account for my daughter and would now like to add it to my Family subscription. We have moved from Germany to Poland and I have also changed the address in my account. I enter the same address 1:1 when verifying the account, sit in the living room of our address and still get the message that we are not in the same country. I also tried opening the link in a private window, which gave the same result.

Hey folks,

Thanks for reaching out on the Community!

In order for someone to join the plan, your countries need to match. The country or region of your Spotify account is based on where you were when you signed up or the payment method you used when you first subscribed to Premium.

@LisaK9, since you mentioned that you've moved to Poland, check if you're still using a German payment method as the country may still be set to Germany. If that's the case, you'll need to use another payment method issued in Poland in order to change the country and invite your daughter.

If you're unable to update your payment details, you'll have to cancel the subscription, wait until it expires and then manually change the country to Poland using the steps mentioned in the article above. After that you should be able to subscribe using a payment method issued in Poland.

Hope this clears things up. Keep us posted on how it goes!
