I can’t join our family subscription and when I try it tells me that I can’t change twice in 12th months even though I haven’t changed my subscription for over 18 months plus does anyone know how I can get help with this problem?
Hi @maxim I'm having the same issue. I just forgot to accept my invite to renew my family plan and I am receiving the message: You can’t join this plan. We couldn’t confirm that you live with the plan manager for this plan. You can join someone else’s plan again in 12 months. Or find another plan that’s right for you. I'm trying to join a duo plan and this message keeps coming up. Any way I can get this reset or fixed? Thanks
For some reason all my members were kicked off the family plans and are getting error stating they have to wait 12 months. How can this happen? I never removed anyone nor did they mess with the plan.
Hi, I’m also encountering the same problem. Didn’t managed to verify the address via email hence resulted me getting kicked out from the family premium plan.
is there any work around it. Seek help and advice on this 🙏🙏🙏
I am trying to join the Family plan after my husband and I got married and it will not let me. I currently am the only person on my own family plan. The page just says "There was a problem. Try again later." But I don't know what the problem is
same problem here, time to move to Apple Music people!
New idea for Spotify, just remove the ridiculous 12 month timer, why would you limit your revenue from people by **bleep** blocking their money? pretty dumb
This rule is ridiculous. My wife was the Plan Manager for our family, but we then found out that the Audiobooks are available only for the Plan Manager. So after 2 months, she cancelled her Premium Family sub and I upgraded my Spotify account to Premium Family so that as the new Plan Manager, I will get access to the Audiobooks (as my wife was not interested in audiobooks). So there was no attempt at trying to get any freebie or cheat Spotify in any way. But now, when I invited my children to join the Family plan, they are not allowed...why does this rule exist? What's so special about 12 months duration?
Hi Joan,
Could you please pass on this message to the Spotify leadership team that this rule is absolutely ridiculous. If we just want to change the Plan Manager within a family from the wife to husband (or vice versa), why do we need to wait 12 months to do so? Firstly, this restriction should be made visible right on the same page when we are signing up to the Family plan. This is not made clear until after we switched our family's plan manager from being my wife to myself. Then when I invited my kids to join my Family plan, they get told that they cannot switch for 12 months. Why does this ridiculous rule exist? For whose benefit it exist?
I will need to complain to some consumer services regulator in my country (similar to the Federal Trade Commission FTC in the USA) about this ridiculous rule that Spotify has implemented to possibly forcing customers to have 2 Family subscriptions.
I was in 3 3-month family plan and after the stipulated time it turned free version again. Now one of my family members has purchased a family and using the invite getting an
error that join after 3 months. Is there any solution for this?
I upgraded to plan duo to add my boyfriend who lives at the same address to a duo account. When he clicks on the invite link it says “you can’t join this plan. We couldn’t confirm you live with the person. You can join someone else’s plan again in 12 months.”
he never got the chance to verify his address in the first place.
How can this be resolved?
I’m having the same problem- except my son keeps getting this message
Hi Joan,
I have a problem here in that my wife subscribed to the duo package and I was part of this duo. She didn't pay her subs but once done, was activated back on to duo but now I can't join as the additional member. Same members, same membership, it doesn't make sense
Todos los equipos son iPhone.
Ya intentamos eliminar la APP y después iniciar sesión y no funciona. Iniciamos
sesión en modo Incógnito y tampoco funciona.
Gracias
My wife have the same message, she couldn't confirm our home address, the confirmation link expire and when I try to include in the family plan it said to wait 12 months to rejoin.
