I want to change my family plan.

I want to change my family plan.

I have shared an premium family with my old roommate for 2 years and I want to move my premium from my old roommate to my new roommate. Do I need to change my email?

Hey there @Z3na,

 

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

 

For starters, we'd like to clarify that, regardless of the changes you make to your type of subscription, not your credentials, nor the content you've saved to your library, is going to be affected. Whether you cancel your subscription or change plans, you'll keep the same login details as usual as there's no need to change them.

 

That being said, and just to confirm, are you the plan manager or are you a member? If you're the manager of the plan, you can remove any members of the plan by following the steps in this article. This does not mean you cancel the plan, rather than just remove the member you're not living with as per this moment. To invite your new roommate, you just need to send them the invite.

 

If you're a member of a plan, then you just need to leave the plan you're part of by following these steps:

  1. Log in to your account page.
  2. Select Cancel plan, under Your plan at the top of the screen, or under Manage your plan.
  3. Continue through to the confirmation message.

After that, you can ask for an invite for the new plan. Remember, plan members can only switch plans once every 12 months.
