Issue changing country of my account

Hi guys,

Let me try to explain what happened, I just subscribed to a Premium Family. When I tried to enter the payment details my registration was not accepted because I was using a credit card that was issued in another country.  I changed then the country of my Spotify account to my credit card country. So far, all good, then I entered my address in my profile and asked my family to join. They were all refused because there was a mismatch with the profile country (credit card) and the real location. I decided to change my way of paying and went for PayPal. PP has been linked with a bank account that in the same country of my residency. Now I'm trying to change the country of my Spotify profile from the credit card country to the residency country but it does not work. Would you have an idea?

Thanks for posting in the Community.

 

If you're trying to change the country of an account with an active subscription, it won't be possible. You'll have to cancel the subscription first, wait for the account to revert to free and change the country afterwards. Then you can activate a new subscription on the account with the updated country settings.

 

Is this the case? If not, tell us more about the account and the error you're getting when trying to change the country settings.

Thanks for the reply.

 

If you've previously activated a free month trial, it won't be possible to activate another trial.

 

The subscription you'll be activating after the current one runs out will not include a trial month.

Many thanks for the suggestion Dian, by cancelling my current subscription, changing the country and re-subscribing to  Premium Family will I be able to keep my FREE month test?
