We had to change the card on our account, and found out when our plan lapsed. But after signing up again and logging into Spotify Kids my daughter's account went away. Her name is Piper. Is this recoverable? Or is it gone forever?
Many thanks,
Chip Fillingane

Hey @chipfillingane, Kids profiles are only virtual accounts. They don't function the same as regular Spotify accounts, as there's no sign up for those, but rather a parent creates a Kids profile linked to their Family subscription.
As these are only available with Spotify Family, if the subscription gets cancelled or changed, the associated Kids profiles will get automatically deleted. Due to their virtual nature, there's no way to restore them. This unfortunately means any 💛'd tracks will have been lost.
There's usually a grace period before a subscription reverts to Free and we send emails informing of any payment issues. It's best to react as soon as possible to those, to avoid a subscription from getting cancelled and to keep the features it brings with it.

🙁
Please let this be my vote for kid's accounts to be full-fledged accounts.
Unfortunately the grace period is zero days. I cancelled my card, got a new one three days later and by the time I got a message saying i needed to update my card, my entire family subscription had reset. I’ve been a Spotify member since 2012. It’s pretty poor, that after so many monthly payments paid on time they see fit to just delete my kids account and make me go through the process of adding my wife back to the account.
I knew Spotify was circling the drain in terms of user experience but this is pretty poor.
time to fire up the Apple account
