Premium Family account on iOS 

 

Ex is on account, and I would like to take him off of it. However, I know it would suck to have to re-create an account, find all the songs, etc. 

When you remove a member from a Premium Family plan, does that account turn into a Free individual account, or is it just deleted?

Thanks for posting in the Spotify Community, and welcome!

 

No worries, removing a member from a Premium Family plan will only cause their account to switch to the free plan; it won’t cause them to lose their playlists or saved music, and they can keep their same Spotify account. 

 

If you're the plan manager for the Premium Family plan, you can remove a member from the plan by following the steps in this support article:

  1. Go to your account page
  2. Scroll down to Manage your family accounts
  3. Select the option to remove a member, and the removed member’s account will revert to the free plan (you can also invite members from here)

Bear in mind that members can only switch between different Premium Family (or Premium Duo) plans once a year.
