New phone does not recognise Spotify premium account

New phone does not recognise Spotify premium account

My son got a new phone, he logged in with his email account (same email and same account as in the old phone) and it shows up as a free account. We have a Spotify family premium account and that is his login, but it does not recognise him as a member. What can we do?

Hi there,

 

Thanks for reaching out. Your son should consider checking if he has a second account. It's possible both are using identical or very similar email addresses or perhaps the login used wasn't the one you initially thought it was. You can also use the search options shown here, particularly those about cached usernames, and find the login info stored on his old devices. That should lead you to the correct account.
