My Question or Issue

I have just cancelled the premium I was receiving through my phone plan and purchased Duo to share with a family member, we live in a fairly isolated rural village in Suffolk, UK and whenever I have tried to type in our address it cannot be found, the nearest address it suggests to us is over 5 miles away. Why is there not just an option to manually enter the address or find it from just the postcode?

I have tried every different variation of our village, street name, nearest town, postcode etc and nothing close comes up. Can this be fixed please.

Hi folks,

Thanks for reaching out.

The address location is something dependent on Google Maps and our map service providers. Perhaps the area you're in or the specific street aren't featured fully on the map yet. Consider trying on various devices just in case to rule out potential errors. If no valid address can be found, you should still be able to enter the address manually without relying on the maps. As long as you and the other user choose the same thing it should work fine. Make sure to try this on Desktop too and not just on your phone.

Hope this helps.

Hello from 2024, I am still experiencing the same issue!!!!! WHERE IS THE SOLUTION???

Hi there @monmonvee,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community. We've moved your message to this thread.

You can follow the recommendations given by @Joan in this thread, to resolve the situation. In case you can’t find your specific address, you should try the building number, street name, or a close public space or building instead. As we mentioned, that shouldn't be an issue, as long as the users that join your plan enter the same address you did.

Let us know how that goes.

Plan

Premium Duo

Country

Puerto Rico, USA

I have a Premium Duo account and the system is not recognizing my address when I try to add my partner to the plan. The adress I'm using is the same as my billing address I used to open the account. The address verification system is not recognizing any addresses in Puerto Rico.  What can I do?

I am having the same issue. What gives? Puerto Rico addresses are recognized.

I'm having the same issue but the page says "We’re having technical issues. Please try again later". I have tried different browsers and even devices but the issue persists.

Same here, Technical issues, try everything but not work. From Brasil.

Hello,

I am located in New York City and having the same issue. I just switched from an individual plan to duo. I tried to enter my address in order to invite my partner but received " We are having technical issues. Please try again later." I tried from multiple devices and desktop browsers.

Hey folks,

Welcome to the thread!

As you're seeing this error message, we recommend checking out this already existing OI thread, subscribing to it and posting your details there as it seems that the issue has returned. This will help us investigate.

Thanks and in the meantime, we're here if anything else comes up.

Have a good one 🙂

Thank you, seems the issue has been resolved on my end as of this morning.

Yes, thx... everything is alright now...

I try, but dont find anything like this one here.

Similar issue with duo in the United States. I'm trying to join my partner's duo plan and I know the address by heart, but it keeps saying our addresses don't match. I had him send me a screenshot of the address associated with his (he's the managing account), and I matched it EXACTLY in the search bar, but it keeps saying our addresses don't match. I don't know why we pay for premium at this point.

Hi Joan - I'm having the same problem at https://www.spotify.com/uk/duo/setup/

My address doesn't appear as an option no matter how I enter it, and I can't manually enter the address either. It just says 'We couldn’t find that address. Please try again.' and the 'find address' button is then greyed out.

Please help!

Ben

Same here - very frustrating

I have changed my subscription to Premium Duo to add my wife, but despite entering an explicit address, including property name, village, postal town, county, country and postcode, apparently Google maps can't find it. What do I do now?

Update: I have tried entering my address directly into Google Maps, but it can't find it/doesn't list it, so maybe Spotify should either allow direct manual entry, or use a location service like "what three words".  I notice this is an ongoing problem, so if there's no fix, maybe I will have to migrate to another streaming service

Why in this day and age are these problems persisting.

Google finds my address, as does every other system that uses any location/address utility. Just not Spotify?!

Why am I paying for duo, if I can't use it?

Has this actually ever been resolved, or just a band aid stuck over it which comes off with the tiniest bit of water.

Do better.

I have the same issue. My partners phone won’t allow the address to be found and I can’t edit my address either. Based in Ireland, trying to use Duo Premium
