We are logged in on our respective account and it does not work. For example, I will be listening in the car and my wife will be listening at home (logged into our respective accounts) and one of us will interrupt the other.

Thanks for reaching out. We've moved your post out to be a separate thread as the issue presented seems different from the one originally discussed in the thread. 

 

If the playback of one device interrupts another, then that means that the same account is logged into both. If the accounts are different, this won't happen. What devices exactly are affected here? Are those the only devices affected? Are those two accounts the only ones affected?
