Spotify family member's account is stopping my playback

Spotify family member's account is stopping my playback

Me and my family members have a family subscription. Whenever I start playing a song on my account, her account pauses the playback. We've tried logging back in and out, adding and unadding the account to the family subscription but it doesnt work.

Thanks for reaching out.

 

If the playback is directly happening on the device and you aren't using Spotify Connect to stream music to a speaker or another device, the only explanation for this would be that you're using the same account 🙂

 

If you're both using the mobile app, you can head into the app settings and then click on Account. There it'll show the username that's currently logged into the app.
