Upgrading from Duo to Family

Upgrading from Duo to Family

Right now, my son and I have separate profiles, I as the manager and he as a Member.  Thinking about adding my wife, upgrading to Family.  Would my son's profile, along with all of his playlists, be deleted?  It says this: "The other person on this plan will lose access to Premium Duo right away."

Thanks for posting in the Spotify Community, and welcome! 

 

No worries, your son won't lose his Spotify profile or any playlists if you change your plan from Premium Duo to Premium Family. You keep your same Spotify account with all playlists and saved music, no matter which plan you switch to or from.

 

The message that you mention refers to how after switching to Premium Family, your son's account will soon revert to the free plan (at your next payment date, which you can view on your account page). At that time, you can invite your son and your wife to the new Premium Family plan by following these steps.
