My Question or Issue

My partner has sent me an invite to his family plan.  He is using only 3 of his 6 spots.  He has moved in with me and he has changed his address to mine.  We have triple checked that his new account has my address on it.  When I use his invite (both email and text) to sign into change to his account, after entering my address, the spotify browser window pops up with a "Try Later" code.  Why?  I feel like Spotify is trying to get my monthly payment before they will allow me to switch to his account.  This has happened whether signed into spotify on my browser in chrome or safari, ditto with my iphone 12 using Safari.

Hi, @teadrinker1,

Welcome to the Spotify Community!

You mentioned you already have Premium. If you're a Family plan manager yourself, or your plan is associated with a partner company (ex. you pay for Spotify through your phone or internet provider), you'll need to first cancel your current subscription and wait until your account reverts to free. After that, you can request a new invite link to join your partner's Family plan.

Hope this clears things up! Let us know how it goes 👍.
