cannot change Premium Individual (trial for free) to Family Premium

Hi everyone,

about 6 weeks ago I joined a promotional 2month free of charge Individual Premium account. I saved my debit card (which is still valid). Today I wanted to change this plan to Family Premium. And I cannot switch. Can anyone tell me why?

Alright, thanks for letting me know.

 

In that case, you should cancel your current subscription and then try subscribing to Premium Family.

 

If the issue persists, you'll, unfortunately, need to wait until your account has reverted back to the Free plan.

Please share the exact error message you're seeing when you try to upgrade to Premium Family at https://spotify.com/family 🙂

Hi, this is the message: the subscription cannot be changed. This may due to the fact that you are not entitled to this subscription, you are already using it or you do not have saved your payment method.

 (I antered valid card and did not change it) 

Unable to change plans. This could be because you're not eligible for this plan, you're already on it, or you don't have a stored payment method.

ABOVE YOU SEE THE OFFICIAL ERROR MESSAGE, the previous one (as my answer) was only translated from my language with Google translator.

Can you please check if the issue persists when trying it on another device and in a different browser?

 

Also, have you tried upgrading to Premium Family at https://spotify.com/family?

yes, the problem persists. I tried another device, also I tried a different browser.

I also tried to upgrade directly from website you gave me. No luck.

Hi, just cancelled my current premium and right away I was able to order Family Premium. Thanks a lot for help 🙂
