My Question or Issue

 

A new mobile phone (my son) can´t join my family membership which has 2 open accounts left. The invite has been sent and received and a new account has been set on my sons mobile phone already which is not the same account as mine. The problem is with the localisation which says all the time we would be not at the same adress. Both phones are in the same WIFI and same spot. I only assume that there is a problem with localisation as I tried to set the account up first time during our vacation in Austria and it still showed in my account the country setting Austria when I logged in. 

Does somebody has a solution for that please?

In other forums the same/ similar thing happened and the only solution was that Spotify themselves "unlocked" or took care of the issue and then joining the membership was possible as per normal procedure.

I found it!

Although all country settings are set to Germany/ Deutschland the invite link for the family was still shown as:

https://www.spotify.com/at/family/join/invite/

and I´ve changed the "at" to "de" and it worked directly. 

If somebody has the same problem check for the country code in the invitation link from the family admin...

Hope that helps others and the issue can be closed.

I recommend making sure that the same country setting is set on all accounts. This can be checked at https://spotify.com/account (while being logged into the specific account).

indeed the location setting was for my son still to Austria where we downloaded Spotify and I have changed it to germany where my account is and retried the invitation and accepting it but still it says addresses not matching. Good attempt but unfortunately not working, will try it again tomorrow maybe Spotify has slow servers 😉
