I accepted an invitation to join a family plan. I obviously live at the same address and I was trying to do this while staying there too actually. When I typed the address it said it didn´t match. I decided to literally copy the address from the master account and paste, didn´t work. I tried several devices, phones, desktop, laptops. Doesn´t work. Please help, it´s really not a cheap service to be this ridiculously buggy as I´ve seen it´s an extremely common issue.

I find this frustrating; my family account cannot be joined by other members - I have to move countries for work, and because of that, we live in a different country to the Apple profile payment one. When we went on holiday to my home country - my son couldn't register as we were in a different country to my Spotify profile. Now we are back, but it still doesn't work, and it seems like my other son, who was previously registered, is now kicked out. I don't want to change my billing address and it seems like the only solution is to move to a different provider like Deezer (which we used in the passed for the whole family - with no issues)....

The help bar comes up with use the closet address to you and when I click on it it says it doesn't match.
We entering the exact same address and it says it‘s not correct..
My wife got excluded from our family plan although we live in the same house. When we tried to add her back we got a message saying that she cannot join my invite and will only be able to join someone elses plan in 12 months. Super frustrating. was anyone able to solve this? I will cancel the family plan if this is the case

I accidentally removed a plan member but can't seem to get the addresses to match to get them access again. Tried on different devices, copy and paste address
I GOT IT TO WORK. I went to the family plan coordinator's account and just retyped in the address again on the page "spotify.com/us/account/family". Then immediately, letting a new member join worked. I think if you registered Spotify a long time ago, your set address is "outdated" by google maps standards. God the support team and all the moderators on the official Spotify forums have no clue what they are doing.

I have a problem with adding new person to the plan. I already tried changing adress. I literally coppied adress from one device to another but we still cant connect to the plan. I am a HOST and i wanna connect my mom to acc. I tried to go through Mozzila, Chrome, Safari. Spotify app. Always the same massage about wrong adress. Please if u know the solution give me a hint a already tried everything what is written in FAQ.

Hi I have a similar issue. I an trying to add my wife to the family plan but it says the address isn't correct. But I have checked and added the address as it states however no luck it doesn't pick up. Is this a glitch or is this a manner that Spotify tries to make more money?
It's been 3 years since these questions were posted here, and you people still haven't figured out how to make your own platform usable by families without this nonsense getting in the way. You're giving Apple Music some great numbers right now, LOL.
I'm having the same issue right now, in 2025, FFS. I'm the account manager and my brother can't get it to let him on as a family member because of this pathetic address issue.
Please get**bleep** together over there, as this account isn't cheap and you're not only a waste of my money, but now a waste of my family's time as well. So stupid.
If I can't even upgrade and pay more to add people, then I'm just going to downgrade and save money while I set up an account somewhere else and migrate my playlists over to there. This is UNACCEPTABLE for the whole app to be this BROKEN for so much money.

FINALLY GOT THIS TO WORK! My husband (the account owner) updated his address in his profile (using the Google Maps suggested address), and then **removed me from the account and then re-sent me an invite link**. I then entered my info and entered my same address again (like I had before), and it finally worked. Very stupid that this seems to be the only solution, but at least it’s done now.

I’ve contacted Spotify customer support multiple times regarding this issue and every single time my case has been abruptly closed without a proper resolution.
I’ve been a Spotify Premium user almost since launch and simply want to use my Family Plan as intended. A person who has moved into my household is unable to join the plan.
All requirements are met:
When trying to accept the Family Plan invite, we keep getting the message:
“Find another Premium plan that’s right for you.”
Support keeps sending me in circles with troubleshooting steps that make no sense for this case. I’ve tried everything possible from my side. I know my way around tech and it’s clear this is an internal system issue, not something I can fix.
In addition, support often just stops replying mid-conversation in chat or ends the email communication without any reason, leaving the case unresolved. Once or twice I was told the issue is due to “risk detection” and then immediately refused further help. What am I supposed to do then? It feels like a wild goose chase while the real issue gets ignored.
I’ve just had surgery and cannot keep wasting energy repeating myself for days.

Thank you this is happening to us with two family members we have reached out to customer support and they can't help us we're just going around in circles its ridiculous that so many people are struggling with this and it's not being sorted and customer services just fob you off
