why doe my account get taken form another user account

every time my man tells echo to play from Spotify it uses my account and not hers

Based on what you mentioned, it sounds like your Spotify account is the one linked in the Alexa app. No worries, you can unlink it, by heading to the Alexa app > Settings > Music & Podcasts > Spotify > Disable Skill. Then, the other user will be able to link their account with these steps.
