Can't access Spotify student discount

I've been a Spotify user for a couple of years now and I started college about 2 months ago and I wanted to use the student discount but Spotify said  I wasn't qualified. I think the problem here is that I was a family member user and some of the people that was included in the family account lived elsewhere. A while later they were kicked out and so were the people that lived with me. I couldn't get any of them back and I can't  use the discount. Am I banned, and if yes is there something I can do?
