Do I have to wait for my Playstation Music subscription to end before starting the Student plan?

My Question or Issue

I started my premium subscription off of Playstation Music on my PS4, but I am eligible for Spotify's student plan (which is a better bargain and 50% off normal price). However when I tried to register for the student plan, I got an error message that says: "I dont have access to this offer as you are a premium membership with another company."

My subscription ends on March 10, 2019, so do I have to wait till that subscription is over until I can get the student plan?

"If you subscribed through any other company than Spotify (e.g. with your internet/mobile provider or iTunes), you need to cancel your existing subscription with them before signing up"
