Help - my student discount disappeared

I was subscribed for student premium and have been paying $4.99/month for several months and I happened to check my statement today and see that I paid $9.99/month for the past two months!  Why did my status change without notice and how do I get a refund and my student account back?  I'm still a student....

Hey @lilazn1004,

Your student discount is active for 12 months from the moment you apply it to your account. After that, your account will revert to the standard Premium rate.

This is so Spotify can check your eligibility each academic year. Spotify had automatically sent you an email reminder when your discount was about to expire. If you’re still a student, you can reapply for an additional 12 months at https://spotify.com/student.
