Hey there,

Thanks for reaching out.

The average length of higher education lasts about 4 years in most countries, which is why Premium Student only lasts up to 4 years. Spotify understands that some students stay longer at a college/university, but unfortunately, no special exceptions can be made in such cases.

You can alternatively check out other reduced-price plans like Premium Family or Duo.

Hope this clears things up 🙂

Hi, Maxim,

I think those students, which study for 4-years won’t be able to extend they subscription without comfirmation with SheerID. So, it would be fair not to limit it as long current students can be verified.

Best reagards.

That doesn’t clear up anything at all. You may as well have chosen any arbitrary number, 3 yrs, 5 yrs, whatever, avg degree time isn’t avg time ppl are doing a degree.

I’m a PhD student, normal plan is too expensive. On student account I could afford it because it was reasonable, now I can’t pay for it any more so I’m just listening to mp3s and my friends YouTube music at uni lol. Duo and Family plan only works if you live with family or have a partner?? Like wth, I live in a different country to them.. I stay as a student on other services until my university no longer confirms my enrolment. Spotify is the only service I was subscribed to that ignores that I’m still a student

music has been important for my studies, now Spotify is no longer a major part of that
