I can't redeem student discount with my confirmed account what should I do?

I've received an email that says my student ID has been confirmed. Still, when I try to switch my existing family plan (I'm the manager) to my student plan I simply can't and a message something like "you are not eligible for this plan, try another premium plans" appears (I translated from my native language, not sure what it is in English).

Hi there,

 

Thanks for reaching out. Sometimes changing from a Family plan to Student directly isn't possible. Try cancelling your existing Family subscription, waiting for your account to revert to free and then resubscribing for Student.
