My Question or Issue

I'm facing this issue "It looks like you’ve taken a trial before

It looks like you’ve taken a trial before, which means you aren’t eligible for this offer. But you can still get premium student" while trying to make payment for student premium

Hey @ranjithkasu8699,

Thanks for reaching out.

Can you please try subscribing directly through this link: https://spotify.com/purchase/offer/student? 🙂

Let me know how it goes.

I can't purchase student premium. Its says you have already taken trial. How?? I have created sheerid few minutes ago??

Hi, I had the same issue and even if I go to the link you provide and try purchasing the student premium plan, it starts by saying $5.99/month after which it keeps adding the one month trial free and gives me the same error on the payment screen. Is there any way to circumvent the one month trial and start paying immediately? Thank you!

Hey there,

Thanks for posting in this thread!

@debrajbose96 - just to check, does the same error appear if you open the link in an incognito window or in a different browser? You can also give it a try from another device, if possible.

Also, if you're starting a subscription on your account for the first time, it might be worth double-checking the payment method you're using, just to be on the safe side. Make sure your payment method has sufficient funds, and is:

  • Registered in the same country to your Spotify account.
  • Not expired or canceled.
  • Enabled for foreign, secure online, and recurring purchases. Look for these settings in your bank’s mobile app (your payment provider should also be able to check this from their end).

Let us know how you get on!
