My Question or Issue

Hi, on 13/7/2020 Spotify asked me to renew my student discount 'account' and so I did. On 14/7 and 14/8 Spotify charged me 4,99 (student discount price). On 14/8 Spotify charged me the Premium price of 9,99 and my account has been set back to Premium and hasn't the Student status anymore? Can somebody please help me with this matter? How is it possible that it changed without me doing it? Can I get a refund for the amount that it's above the Student price?

Apologies for the delayed response, we just came across this thread.

 

Sometimes it's possible that the discount doesn't activate if you apply it too early on your account.

 

The warning email sent from Spotify is usually sent about a month before the discount expires so that you'd have time to gather all needed info for verification, but we usually recommend re-applying the discount about a week before it expires.
