Hello @Shaheen22!

Thanks for coming to the Spotify Community. I'll try to help you out.

Can you try going to your account page to retry the payment? If it gives your an error, can you let me know what it says? I'd also recommend checking out this Support article for the next steps to take.

Hope this helps and let me know how it goes!

Hi there @Shaheen22,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community and welcome!

Failed payment can occur due to multiple reasons. Some of them are:

  • Insufficient balance.
  • The card has expired or a new card has not yet been confirmed.
  • The card-issuing bank declined the transaction for security reasons.
  • User abandoned, e.g., due to timeout, incorrect clicks/page refresh.
  • Antivirus, firewall software, or connectivity/Wi-Fi issues.
  • Authentication failures.

If you want to know the exact reason, we recommend checking with your bank. Now, when there's a failed payment, we notify you via email and on your app. Most of the times, you keep your Premium subscription and the system will re-try to process the payment within the next 24 to 72 hours. You can wait for that to happen. If there's another failed payment, you'll be notified.

But if you wish, you can force the payment by updating your payment details here. You don't have to use a different payment method, you can re-enter the same one to update any neccesary details.

We'll be here in case you have any questions.
