Based on what you're describing it's possible that you verified your student discount with SheerID, but never activated the discounted subscription itself. If you've already been verified by SheerID, you should have received an email with a link for activation. Keep in mind that the link from SheerID is valid for 7 days only.
It's worth checking all your email addresses, Spam/Junk folders included and see if the email with the activation link is to be found there. If you can't find it, we recommend reaching out to SheerID here. Their customer support team will happily help out with the whole verification process, as they are the ones in charge of it and we don't have access to their systems. They should be able to can send you a new link allowing you to get the student discount.
