You're going to lough, but I did all this ;
1. Log in to spotify in browser
3. Go all the way down and click "Contact Spotify"
4. Then select the "write option"
5. select "technical issues" option
6. I explained my issued and start chat.
They will send you an email with a case number. Within minutes they give me a resolution. hope it works for you.

I had the same problem and chatted with Spotify Support. I was told that the link had been shared and was allowing people (non-subscribers) to redeem. Is this offer coming back?
