My Question or Issue

I have a family plan an I am not able to listen to music while one of my family members is listening already. I know that you need to have seperate accounts but even though my family has seperate accounts it still acts as though they are playing from mine.

Hey @samtheisen, and welcome to the community.

Hope you're doing great!

I'm sorry to hear this. Please ensure that you guys have separate accounts because it still seems like everyone is on your same account. If a member of your plan doesn't have a Spotify account - they can sign up here. If they already do have an account, you should have an option on your account page to link accounts.

Let me know how this goes!

I have ensured that my other family members are on separate accounts. Also
to confirm I went to my account settings and signed out of all my devices
and tried again.

Hey, again @samtheisen.

Are you getting any error messages when the music stops playing on your device?

Also, let's confirm that the members are logged into their accounts. Can you ask the family members to log out and back in, ensuring it's with their own accounts?

Nope, I am not receiving any error messages from my device. I confirmed
again that all of my family members do not have access to my specific
account.

Hey, again @samtheisen.

I’d recommend reaching out to Spotify for more help with this. You can find some more info here on how to do this.

Have a nice day 🙂
