Family Plan while away abroad for school

I already have a Spotify Premium account (Canadian) and my family just moved to Alaska and they were asking if we could upgrade my account to a family plan. I still technically live with them on all the documents even though my sister and I go to school in Canada (where my family is from). Now the issue: it says that accounts can only be used for 14 days abroad and then you have to change the country. Does that only apply to free accounts (where it was listed under in the Travel Abroad section) or is that Premium accounts as well?

I have the same question, except I am studying in Canada while my family is in Italy. How did you end up doing?

Through some digging, I found out that Spotify will check your internet to see where you are in the world. If you're not where your billing address is, Spotify Premium (and Family Plan) will only work for 2 weeks before reverting to a free account.
