My Question or Issue

Why am I unable to listen to music at the same time as someone else even though I have Family Plan, I have also followed all the instructions but sill my music stops when someone else uses their account.

Hey @ElinorJShiels3, thanks for reaching out to the Community!

One great thing about Premium for Family is that you and up to 5 members get their own Premium account so there are no interruptions.

 

It seems like you and someone else are sharing the same account. Could you make sure that the other person gets their own account? You can follow these steps >  Manage members section to send them an invite to join the plan.

We already set up different accounts that’s why i don’t understand how the
music stops playing when we’re both on. I also sent him an invite as well
it does show that he is added to the family but I don’t have an email
saying the have confirmed or anything.

Thanks for getting back to me.

Could you try following these steps:

  1. Log out from their accounts.
  2. Log in by manually typing in their own email addresses and passwords on the devices they want to listen to music.
  3. Each of them should log in their account page to make sure they're logged in with their own email address and not using the same account.
  4. Then they can try listening to music simultaneously.
