Family plan cancel

Solved!

Family plan cancel

Hi,

I've just canceled my family subscription and I have premium until the 16/01 since my last bill was 16/12. My issue is that my girlfriend, who I share the family plan with, no longer have Spotify premium. Which we find strange since she should have premium until 16/01 as I do.

Anyone ever had the same issue?

Hey again @Morten140,

When you switch from a Premium for Family account to another one, this happens immediately and the Family subscription is getting stopped.

When this happens there are no more sub-accounts and thus your girlfriend is now on Spotify free.

When you still want to get in touch with the Spotify support, you can do this using this link and they'll be able to take a look behind the scenes 🙂

Have a nice day!

Hey @Morten140,

When your girlfriend isn't in the Premium for Family Plan anymore, you can try to invite her again 🙂

To invite someone to your family

  1. Go to your family Overview here.
  2. Enter the name and email address of your family member.
  3. Click send invite
  4. Your family member should have received an invitation mail.
  5. When he/she accepts it you will get a confirmation mail.

If you can’t see the invite button try to use an incognito tab, clear the cookies of your browser or use another browser.

Have a nice day!

Hi Luke,

I can't find the family overview anymore. I've signed up for spotify student and the family plan tab is gone so I can't invite her.

Here's some pictures.

Hey again @Morten140,

When you take a look at your Account Overview and it says Premium for Student is your current plan, your plan has changed from Premium for Family to Premium for Student.

The next charging date, however, should be in more than one month, because you pay more for the Premium for Family Plan than for the Premium for Student one.

Have a nice day!

Yes is says Premium for Student is my current plan. But why is my the premium for my girlfriend gone. We’ve pay for the family plan until 16/01 so she shoud be able to have premium until 16/01.
