I wish I had never redeemed the free google home mini...

Did all the steps...

 

Placed the order correctly...

 

Got a receipt for $0...

Confirmed with google AND Spotify that the code was redeemed...

 

STILL CHARGED $53!

 

The Remedy?
Google says return it or refuse the delivery

Spotify says they'll generate another code

 

I wish I had never done this. Now I've got money tied up while I wait to return it, and then on top of everything, I have to take the plunge YET AGAIN and have not really been reassured the issue won't occur again.

Seriously not cool!

I'd recommend getting in touch with Google Support for some more help on this.

Honestly the biggest issue I'm having is getting anybody to understand what my actual problem is.

 

Google has already said that my only course of resolution through them is to return the one that's already on it's way to me- they can't adjust the amount of the order or change the billing- return only (or refuse the shipment... how do you even refuse a smartpost shipment?!) 

 

Spotify, on the other hand, continues to insist that the code was not redeemed, even though all attempts at re-redeeming the code have not worked, and, again, despite the fact I was issued a receipt for $0.

So, hopefully this is resolved soon so I can cancel spotify and move on. It was a good six years!

Hey @gopena,

 

Could you confirm if you've gotten in touch with Spotify Customer Support? You should be able to get a Google Home Mini with a new code.
