Is there a way to split a family account?

We have a family account and my son now wants his own account. He has alot of saved playlists and so on. Is there an easy way for him to split off from our account?

Well sure,

If you remove him, his account will revert to Free (and lose the Premium features) but he will keep all his playlists.

Hi @M4D2, welcome to the Spotify Community!

Each member of the Premium for Family plan has hiw own separate account, with individual access and playlists.

Click on the link bellow to see if all of the members are active:

thanks for that.

I can see i have an active subscription

However i want to remove my son.

If i remove him from the family plan does he still log in under his details and just start a new sub?

Hi, I have the reverse problem...Family Premium account with 3 members, and I see and hear the other 2 member's music on my phone...how can this be split ? Thanks

Hey @Oliver60,

Thanks for posting in the Community.

In such a case it'd be best for the members to check which account they're logged in. They need to use their own login credentials.

Let us know how that went,

Cheers!
