My Question or Issue

With the release of the new terms and conditions and the emphasis on the family people being at the same address, does this apply to children who are at university but their official home address is still the family home?

Thanks.

Short Answer: Yes it does work.

Long Answer: Under the family plan terms, Spotify counts the physical address. Upon accepting an invite to join a family plan, the person will need to enter the same home address that the owner of the family plan has entered.

The way Spotify Family works is that each person creates their own Spotify account first if they do not already have one. For everyone to create a Spotify account they will need their own email address.

Once everyone has their own Spotify account you then invite them to join your family plan and then they sign in with that account in the app. Make sure everyone enters the same home address when it asks for verification. Then everyone will be able to listen without interrupting the other users.

Reading the way the T&Cs are written, with the "address verification," it doesn't sound like a university student is covered?  My son's permanent address is at our home, but he is out of state at the university for 9 months.  If an address check is made while he is at school, it will not match his permanent address.  If this excludes him from being on the family account, I'll just cancel the service all together...don't need the hassle.
