Premium Playlists lost on joining Family Premium

Premium Playlists lost on joining Family Premium

I subscribed to Spotify Family Premium. I sent an invite to my son to join Family Premium which he accepted. Prior to this he was already a Premium member. He has now lost all his playlists and it seems as if his old Premium account has been overwritten with the new Family Premium one. This has really upset him. We have tried all the suggestions. The other members of my family who had free accounts haven't had this issue. Is there anyway to restore his playlists from his prior Premium account??

Thanks for posting about this here in the Community!


It sounds like your family members have created another Spotify account when accepting the invite to your Premium Family plan.

 

In this case, we'd suggest asking them to follow the steps in this Spotify Answer to locate and access their original account. 

 

Once they've found their original account containing all their playlists, you can send them a new invite so that they can join your plan. It might also be a good idea closing the newer account to avoid any future mix-ups.
